About Us

Yuck Old Paint® was founded by Chief Yuck Officer, Raea Jean Leinster, in response to an unmet market need to remove old paint cans from the multitude of clients she has worked with for over a decade as a faux finisher and decorative painter.

Billy C., College Intern
Billy is an accounting major at Furman College. Upon his return to Virginia for summer and semester breaks, he assists the Planet Protector Gladiators.

Daniel S., Collections Specialist
Daniel has over 20 years of experience as a licensed trades professional and loves helping our customers keep paint out of landfills!

Garrett B., College Intern
Garrett is a Cyber Securities major at Penn State. Upon his return to Virginia for summer and semester breaks, he assists the Planet Protector Gladiators. 

Howard D., Collections Specialist
Howard is a seasoned veteran in the estate sales, auction house, and antiques appraisal industries. He’s got mad project management skills, and is ideally suited for taking charge of customers’ homes full of yuck!

Kim R., Richmond Operations Manager
Kim chairs the Science Department at Bird High School (Chesterfield, CO), a suburb of Richmond, VA. As a career educator, she understands how paint waste and other pollution issues affect our future generations.

Lee H., Collections Specialist and Events Manager
Lee (retired, US Navy), with 30+ years of operational experience with foreign ordnance and equipment, and combat and operational experience in multiple theaters, is equipped for the battle to rescue local landfills from latex paint and run our paint recycling events. Personal decorations include the Bronze Star, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and two Combat Action Ribbons.

Morgan J., Druid and Planet Protector Gladiator
Morgan has over 10 years of paint retail sales experience at Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams stores, including specialty paints for Hollywood movie studios. Morgan converts paint deemed too sour for reuse into a solid waste material, protecting the soil and water tables from liquid paint contamination.

Nicole M., Collections Specialist
Armed with a B.A. degree in Communications and a minor in Environmental Public Relations from Coastal Carolina University, Nicole designed and ran the school’s stadium food composting program.
Although no longer dealing with half-eaten hot dogs and stale beer, she is well equipped to handle things left over and gross!

Paul C., Collections Specialist
Paul (veteran, Corporal, USMC) has 8 years of military hazmat and ordnance experience, including several Navy Achievement Medals, and loves helping our customers keep paint out of the landfills!

Ryan M., Collections Specialist
Ryan (Major, U.S. Army Reserves) has over 10 years of military hazmat and ordnance experience. He is delighted to join our boots-on-the-ground operation keeping paint cans out of landfills!

Todd R., Hudson Valley Region Operations Manager

As a professional handyman in a county that banned latex paint from its landfills 20 years ago, Todd is very familiar with his customers’ frustrations. He is enthusiastic to be a part of a green and convenient solution to the good people of New York’s Hudson Valley region.

Tony R., Ohio Operations Manager
Tony has 20+ years experience as owner/operator of a paint contractor company in the Columbus area. He is delighted to be a part of our westward expansion beyond the East Coast.
